Leads, inquiries and follow-ups

Work gets lost between "give me a call" and the estimate. ShopJig keeps every inquiry on a board, puts the call-backs on Today, and shows which sources and events actually bring in paying work.

InquiriesInquiries by stage, from first contact to won or lost.

What it does

Leads & follow-ups, in plain terms

A lead source on every customer

Where they first heard of you (from your own list), who referred them and when they first got in touch. Customers who come in through the website get "Website" by themselves, and check-in asks for new ones.

Inquiries, first call to won

New, contacted, visited, estimate sent, won or lost with a reason. Make estimate turns an inquiry into a job with the customer, vehicle and what they want already filled in. Website forms open inquiries too.

Follow-ups on Today

Dated call-backs on a customer or an inquiry, with an owner. The ones due show up on Today, so nobody has to remember Thursday.

Reminders, not robots

ShopJig adds a follow-up when an estimate hasn't been approved after 7 days, or an inquiry has gone quiet for 5. Both are settings. It creates tasks for people, never messages to customers.

Events and who came

Log a ride, a show or an open house and its attendees. Afterwards, message them by email or text (only those who've opted in), and set a follow-up for each a few days out.

The lead report

Revenue by lead source, how many inquiries each source turns into work and how fast, why you lost the rest, and the customers each event brought in.

Where it sits in the flow

Leads come before the quote. A phone call, a walk-in, a website form or someone you met at a ride becomes an inquiry; a follow-up keeps it from going cold; Make estimate turns it into a job; and once the estimate is approved or the vehicle is checked in, the inquiry is marked won by itself. The lead report then shows which sources the paid work came from.

Questions

Is this a full marketing system?

No. It's built for a shop's sales, meaning inquiries, call-backs and events. It doesn't run email campaigns or drip sequences, and nothing goes out unless someone presses send.

Who gets event messages?

Only attendees who can be reached and have agreed. Texts need consent to texts and wait out your quiet hours, and by default both emails and texts need marketing opt-in. You see who gets what, and why not, before you send.

Is it in the app?

Yes. Inquiries, follow-ups, events and the lead report are on the iPhone and iPad as well as the web.
