Put an iPad on the wall. Each person clocks in and out with their own PIN, no personal phone needed.
Time-change requests
Forgot to clock out? People request a change and a manager approves it. Nobody edits hours quietly.
Time-off requests
Request time off in the app; a manager approves or declines it.
Payroll export with PTO
Export hours and PTO for the pay period, ready for whoever runs payroll.

Where it sits in the flow
Time runs underneath the whole flow. The day clock says who’s here; job time and operation time inside it say what they worked on. That feeds actual cost on jobs and fab orders, margins in the reports and the payroll export at the end of the period.
Questions
Does ShopJig run payroll?
No. It exports hours and PTO for the pay period so payroll can be run in your payroll service.
Can techs clock in from their own phones?
Yes, from the iPhone app, or from a shared iPad kiosk with a PIN.
Does job time feed job costing?
Yes. Time clocked to jobs and fab operations is part of the job's actual cost.
